The origin of the term “Florida Cracker” refers to the cracking sound made by the whips used \nby early settlers to herd their cattle\, hence the Floridians were called “Crackers” \nCracker Christmas is an annual two day event held on the first full weekend of December. The event features live historical demonstrators\, vendors\, various foods for sale. \nThis event celebrates the Florida Pioneer and the rich history of the Christmas community.  It also showcases local history through a craft fair with handmade items\, pioneer demonstrations\, and community organizations displays. The event began approximately in 1977 as a small celebration. It has gradually grown into the largest Fort Christmas Historical Society event held at Fort Christmas Historical Park. \nIt is wonderful to have many in our community who are committed to lending their support and knowledge to all Fort Christmas Historical Society events at Fort Christmas Historical Park. Our community clubs depend on such events to help with fundraising for the 4-H\, FFA\, Women’s Club\, Boy Scouts\, and many others.

You’ll have a great time with all of our Christmas decorations and photo ops throughout the property. Bring your family and friends to celebrate the Christmas season with us and grab our free scavenger hunt and explore the farm to earn a candy cane for spotting all the finds.  \nFor families and groups get a party area for many group benefits. \nRegular Admission – $15/person \nVIP Admission – $20/person \n**VIP Admission does not include regular admission ticket.  VIP ticket gains access to s’mores for campfires\, Mini Golf\, Gem Mining\, and Cow & Goat Cuddles.  Total cost of VIP admission would be $35/person (Regular Admission + VIP Admission) \nAdmission includes exploring our wonderful Petting Zoo\, Fun Games & Activities\, Campfire Access\,  Bounce House & Our Florida Snow Experience. Add to your experience with Great Food at our food truck. Find a unique gift in our Holiday Market\, Enjoy some drinks and/or some Delicious Hot Chocolate. \nFREE PARKING  Children under 30″ are FREE.
